Garden Payouts
Overview
Gardens can compensate gardeners for verified regenerative work through two mechanisms: vault distributions managed by operators and cookie jars with self-service withdrawals inside preset limits. Both systems are funded by deposits into the garden's on-chain treasury, and vault yield is routed into payouts later through harvest and split flows.
Payout system
Garden payouts are available when a garden has an active vault or cookie jar configured on a supported chain. What you see depends on your garden's setup, not just your account.
How It Works
Vault Distributions
Garden vaults hold the garden endowment. Depositor claim value stays flat by design, and when strategies generate yield operators harvest and route that yield into payout flows before distributing funds to gardeners, community initiatives, or reinvestment.
- 1
Work gets approved
Submit work through the MDR workflow and receive operator approval. Approved work builds your contribution record.
- 2
Operator reviews contributions
Your garden operator reviews contribution records and determines distribution amounts.
- 3
Funds are distributed
The operator routes available harvest proceeds or vault funds into a withdrawal or payout to your address.
- 4
Check your wallet
Distributed funds arrive in your smart account wallet. Check the wallet drawer in the app.
Cookie Jars
Cookie jars provide lightweight, recurring payouts with preset limits. If your garden has an active cookie jar, you can withdraw directly without waiting for operator approval.
- 1
Open wallet drawer
Navigate to the wallet drawer in the Green Goods app and select the Cookie Jar tab.
- 2
Check eligibility
View available cookie jars and confirm you are an eligible member. Check withdrawal limits and cooldown intervals.
- 3
Withdraw
Claim your available amount. The transaction is signed with your passkey and submitted gaslessly.
- 4
Track history
Review past withdrawals and upcoming availability windows.
Best Practices
- Keep your work submissions consistent and high-quality — contribution history is a key factor in operator-managed distributions
- Check cookie jar withdrawal windows regularly to avoid missing available claims
- If a cookie jar shows zero available, check whether you have already claimed for the current interval
- Ask your garden operator whether payouts are coming from harvested vault yield, endowment principal, or a cookie jar so you know what to expect and when
