Join a Garden

First confirm the garden, then join from the app.
What this helps you do
Join the garden where your work belongs so its actions appear in the app and your submissions can be reviewed by the right operators.
Open gardens can be joined directly. Restricted gardens need an operator to add you before they appear as joined.
Before you start
- Sign in with the same passkey or wallet you plan to keep using. If you switch logins later, the app will treat that as a different account.
- Open your Profile and note the address or ENS name the operator should use if they need to add you. Passkey sign-in creates a smart account address for Green Goods; share the address shown in Profile, not a different wallet you also own.
- Make sure you are online. Joining a garden needs a live app session.
- If you use an external wallet, keep a little gas available for the Arbitrum network fee. Passkey or smart-account actions may be sponsored when that support is configured.
Step-by-step flow
- 1
Open your gardens list
In the app, open Profile and find the Gardens section. It lists gardens you already belong to and open gardens you can join.
- 2
Pick the right garden
Check the name and location before joining. If several gardens have similar names, confirm with the operator before you submit any work.
- 3
Join or ask to be added
For an open garden, tap Join and follow the confirmation. If someone sent you a public garden link, use Join this Garden and sign in when prompted. For a restricted garden, send the operator the address shown in your Profile and wait for them to add you.
- 4
Wait for the app to catch up
After joining or being added, the garden should show as joined. If the status looks stale right away, refresh once and give the indexer a moment.
- 5
Open the Work tab
Go to the garden page and check the Work tab. If active actions are available, you are ready to submit work.
How to know it worked
- The garden appears in your Profile gardens list.
- The Work tab shows actions you can submit against, if the operator has active actions configured.
- If an operator added you to a restricted garden, it appears after the app refreshes and indexing catches up.
If something goes wrong
- No Join button. The garden may be restricted, you may already be a member, or you may be signed out.
- Operator cannot find your account. Share the exact address or ENS shown in your Green Goods Profile, not a different wallet you also own.
- Transaction fails. Check the wallet message. Common causes are the wrong chain, no Arbitrum gas for an external wallet, or a garden that is no longer open for joining.
- Joined but still not showing. Refresh the app. The join may have confirmed before the garden indexer caught up.
- Wrong garden. Contact the operator before submitting work. Your submissions should be tied to the garden that will review them.
- Still stuck. Open Profile help in the app or use the Green Goods Telegram support link in the docs footer.
Best practices
- Confirm the garden location and operator before joining if several gardens have similar names.
- Use one login consistently. Your membership and submissions belong to the account that joined.
- You can belong to multiple gardens at once; each garden tracks your contributions independently.
- Check a garden's active actions before joining so you know what kind of work the operators are ready to review.
