Joining A Garden

Live

Overview

Gardens are community hubs for regenerative work, each focused on a specific bioregion or initiative. As a gardener, you join a garden to access its actions, document your work, and earn on-chain recognition. Every new user is automatically added to the Community Garden on signup, so you can start immediately.

How It Works

  1. 1

Open greengoods.app and sign in with your device biometrics (Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint). No passwords or seed phrases needed — a passkey-based smart account is created for you automatically.

  2. 2

    Explore the Community Garden

You are auto-joined to the Community Garden on first login. Browse available actions to see what regenerative work is needed in your area.

  3. 3

    Find additional gardens

Browse the gardens list to find communities matching your interests or bioregion. Open gardens let you join instantly; restricted gardens require an operator invitation.

  4. 4

    Start working

Once you have joined a garden, open an active action and begin documenting your regenerative work using the MDR workflow (Media, Details, Review).

Action list — select an action category and begin documenting work

Open vs restricted gardens

If: The garden has an open joining policy

Do: Join directly from the gardens list. No approval needed.

Then: Browse active actions and start documenting your work.

If: The garden has a restricted joining policy

Do: Request an invitation from the garden operator or wait for one to be sent to you.

Then: Once accepted, the garden and its actions will appear in your dashboard.

If: You are not sure which garden to join

Do: Start with the Community Garden — it is open to everyone and has general-purpose actions.

Then: Explore other gardens as you get comfortable with the workflow.

Best Practices

  • Start with the Community Garden to learn the MDR submission workflow before joining specialized gardens
  • When joining a restricted garden, reach out to the operator directly to express your interest and experience
  • You can belong to multiple gardens at once — each garden tracks your contributions independently
  • Check a garden's active actions before joining to make sure it matches your interests and availability
