Offline Sync and Drafts
You can document work with no signal at all. Green Goods saves everything on your phone and sends it when you are back online. Much of the work happens where connectivity is weakest, so the app treats your device as the source of truth and the network as optional. Here is what that looks like in practice.
Saving in the field
- Every submission you start is saved on your device as a draft, including its photos.
- Drafts stay on your phone until you submit or delete them, and closing the app does not lose them. The app keeps up to 20 saved drafts; once you go past that, the oldest draft and its photos are cleared to make room, so submit or delete drafts you want to keep.
- You can leave a draft half-finished and come back to it later from the work flow.
One habit worth keeping: when you reopen a draft after a long gap, glance at the photos to confirm they are still attached before you submit.
When you come back online
- Submissions made without a connection wait in a queue on your device.
- If you signed in with a passkey (the default for gardeners), the queue sends automatically when your phone reconnects, and you do not need to resubmit anything. If you use an external wallet, reopen the app and confirm when prompted so the queued work can send.
- Watch the status on each item in your work list. Uploading or Queued means it is still on its way. Pending means it arrived and is waiting for operator review.
To confirm a submission landed and see its on-chain record, use Track Status and Attestations.
When something will not send
- A submission that keeps failing usually has a fixable cause: large photos, a connection that dropped mid-upload, or a role or permission problem in the garden.
- Open the item from your work list and retry it. If the same error repeats, Common Errors explains the messages you might see and what to do about each one.
- If nothing works, ask your garden operator for help. Nothing is lost while you wait: the draft and its media stay safe on your device.
